02/23/09 - HTA Takes 12 Titles in 8 days
Chicago District players are proving that the Herrmann Tennis Academy is one of the top programs in the Midwest as HTA players took twelve tournament titles in eight days from February 8-15. The academy has captured 46 singles and eight doubles titles in the 2008-09 indoor season.
“The success the players are having is tremendous! These are the benefits of their commitment to the training they do, both on and off the court. They are not only winning events, but also developing as players,” said HTA Director Ernie Katko. “To win four doubles tournaments, two at the National Open level and two at the Wisconsin Indoor is excellent. Special mention and congratulations go to Eric Marbach for being a finalist in singles and winning doubles at the National Open, and Tom Fawcett for winning both events in Wisconsin.”
