01/23/2009 - Sellitto Wins B16s Winter Cup
 Fourth seed Michael Sellitto captured the B16s Winter Cup held at the Five Seasons Country Club in Northbrook on January 16-19. The title was Sellitto’s first since taking the Mustang Junior Open in July.
Sellitto received a bye in the first round and dominated Thomas Ball 6-0, 6-0 in the second. In the quarterfinals he took out fellow academy member Arthur Ozga 6-4,
6-0. Sellitto cruised into the finals with a 6-1, 6-1 win over #7 seed Danny Wynbrandt.
In the last match of the tournament Sellitto topped #8 seed Luke Trinka 7-5 in the first set and raced out to a 3-0 seed in the second set before Trinka retired due to injury.
“Mike is doing well in developing his game for his age up to the 16’s. He is adding the right ingredients and the progress is showing,” said HTA Director Ernie Katko.
